An article about "youth charities"
Charity is to help people in need as a humanitarian act. In Algeria there are tens of charity associations which help the poor people, the orphans, the elderly and the homeless. It is very important to do charity works because it helps to increase solidarity and love among the citizens.
Most of the young Algerian citizens practice at least a type of charity, some people donate money, food and clothes to the associations whereas others prefer to help their relatives or neighbours as the proverb said: "charity begins at home.
In fact, there are also several TV shows that do voluntary charities like "Hand in Hand" which help the poor people rebuild their houses with the participation of the volunteers who live in the same city of these needy people. Other example of the youth charity activities is "The Algerian Red croissant" which organize a yearly "Table of Iftar" all around Algeria in the sacred month of Ramadan.
However, to be charitable or do voluntary works there are many recommended activities like (planting trees, cleaning mosques or cemeteries, collecting clothes for the poor children, and decorating your school...etc....
To conclude, charity has a great role in building national solidarity among the citizens, volunteering helps others, but it can also help you. It also lets you see your own life in new ways and make new friends. Volunteering lets you spend some time caring for the others. Lots of young people find that they really enjoy volunteering. Volunteering puts you in a different environment and exposes you to people and situations that you wouldn't have come across in your regular life.

الصدقة هي مساعدة المحتاجين كعمل إنساني. يوجد في الجزائر عشرات الجمعيات الخيرية التي تساعد الفقراء والأيتام والمسنين والمشردين. من المهم جدًا القيام بالأعمال الخيرية لأنها تساعد على زيادة التضامن والمحبة بين المواطنين.
يمارس معظم الشباب الجزائري نوعاً من أنواع الأعمال الخيرية على الأقل، حيث يتبرع البعض بالمال والطعام والملابس للجمعيات بينما يفضل البعض الآخر مساعدة أقاربهم أو جيرانهم كما يقول المثل: "الصدقة تبدأ من البيت".
وفي الواقع، هناك أيضًا العديد من البرامج التلفزيونية التي تقوم بأعمال خيرية تطوعية مثل برنامج "يدًا بيد" الذي يساعد الفقراء على إعادة بناء منازلهم بمشاركة المتطوعين الذين يعيشون في نفس مدينة هؤلاء المحتاجين. ومن الأمثلة الأخرى على الأنشطة الخيرية الشبابية "الكرواسون الأحمر الجزائري" الذي ينظم "مائدة إفطار" سنويا في جميع أنحاء الجزائر في شهر رمضان المبارك.
